A pure expression of exquisite luxury and phenomenal performance, the new Mulsanne represents the pinnacle of Bentley’s design, craft and engineering skills. Beneath its bonnet lies a 6¾ litre, twin turbocharged V8 engine that can propel the car and its occupants from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds (0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds) and on to a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h).
The face of the new Mulsanne has seen significant attention from the Bentley designers. A new, front grille features vertical stainless steel vanes. The effect is striking: the car appears wide, sleek and low, connecting it closely to the road. A redesigned front and rear feature sharp lines, the superformed panels housing a sleek new headlamp configuration. New rear lamps reflecting the Bentley ‘B’ design match the stainless steel Bentley ‘B’ wing vents, while inside, a new fluted seat design completes a uniquely luxurious cabin.
The new Mulsanne’s steel monocoque body structure is clad in superformed aluminium for fewer joins. Following assembly of the shell, each panel is primed, painted, sanded, lacquered and polished to a mirror finish by hand, the car’s sweeping lines finally coming to life. The new Mulsanne features sharper lines to the fenders, bonnet and boot, which combine to give the entire exterior a contemporary appearance, with the bumpers emerging seamlessly from the bodyshell. From the front, the car looks wide, low and tightly connected to the road.
The Mulliner Driving Specification comprises a carefully curated collection of sport-themed additions, all designed by the Mulliner team. They include handcrafted details such as a new 21” Radiance alloy wheel by Mulliner, Flying ‘B’ style wing vents in polished stainless steel, unique Mulliner treadplates and a new sports-tuned suspension setting. The result is a more dynamic edge to the interior and exterior of your Mulsanne.
Mulliner has created three optional bottle coolers for the new Mulsanne, each reflecting Bentley’s legendary craftsmanship and subtle design language. One holds two water bottles and tumblers, while another holds champagne bottles and flutes. A third can house spirit bottles, crystal glasses and a Bentley hip flask. Nestled between the back seats with the refrigeration system hidden in the boot, they provide the perfect solution for a drink on the go – whatever your preferred choice of refreshment.
