NEW CONTINENTAL GTC
With a phenomenally powerful Ultra-Performance Hybrid Powertrain capable of delivering 1000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque and 771 bhp (782 PS), the new generation Continental GTC Speed can take you from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds) and on to a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h). With a stunning new design and a wealth of innovative technology, nothing feels quite like driving the new Continental GTC Speed – with the roof up or down.
A new world of freedom
The whole car has been visually ‘cleaned’, with fewer breaks in the surfaces giving more muscularity, and a more refined shape. The complete front aspect of the car is new, from the body coloured integrated body kit to the biggest change for the Continental GTC: single front headlamps that herald a design revolution for Bentley; and feature a new horizontal ‘eyebrow,’ a deep crystal cut diamond effect to the top of the lamps and an illuminated lower pattern.
The convertible features Bentley’s seven-bow fabric roof system, available in a range of seven exterior colours (including Tweed) and deployable in 19 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h).
All new electrical architecture enables integration of new class-leading technology for unrivalled user experience in the luxury car sector, with a ‘My Bentley App Studio’ integrating popular apps directly into the car.
A New Take on Convertible Style
A head-turning new design marks the beginning of a new era for the convertible grand tourer. The exclusive matrix grille is rendered in a dark tint finish, as is much of the exterior detailing, for a powerful, purposeful aesthetic. The design of the LED headlamps is entirely new, their curved outline merging with their sharp-edged brows, giving the impression of a piercing gaze. At the rear, meanwhile, redesigned oval tail lamps with smoked lenses and matching slashed oval tailpipes complete the picture.
Love at First Sight
Inside, the seats feature a unique Speed colour split, while Speed embroidery on the seats makes the car’s identity clear. The stunning new 3D diamond hide is used on the door panels, for a tactile, sporting take on contemporary cabin design. From the graphics in the instrumental panel to the sports pedals at your feet, the cabin overflows with sporting style. For cooler days, heated armrests, a heated steering wheel and discreet neck warmers make every journey a joy. You can opt to make much of the chrome brightware in the cabin darker, with the Dark Chrome Interior Specification. It also replaces the gloss finish on the switches with matt black. This option works particularly well with the exterior Blackline Specification.
Technology
At the touch of a button, the optional Bentley Rotating Display prompts the car’s central touchscreen to revolve away out of sight, to be replaced by a veneered panel bearing three beautifully crafted analogue dials – the ultimate digital detox. The wired and wireless versions of Android AutoTM and Apple CarPlayTM* are all featured as standard, alongside a suite of My Bentley connected services including Real-time traffic information and Over-the-air map updates**, which ensure that the navigation system always gives you the most accurate information available. The City Specification* gives you a range of digital driver assistance features, such as a Top View Camera, alert systems for use when reversing, Park Assist, Auto-Dimming Mirrors and Hands-Free Boot Opening.

If a person writes a check without sufficient funds in an associated account to cover it, the check will bounce, or be returned for insufficient funds. Each state has laws regulating how merchants may respond to bounced checks. In Connecticut, the merchant may file a civil suit and press criminal charges if the check writer does not reimburse him for a bounced check after the merchant has sent several notices regarding the matter.
Posted Notice Requirement
Merchants and other business owners who accept checks must post a notice where customers are likely to see it warning them of the potential consequences of writing bad checks. The notice must include the civil penalties that bad check writers may face, the appropriate Connecticut statute number and an advisory that the check writer may also face criminal penalties
Civil and Criminal Penalties
As of 2010, civil courts may require the check writer to reimburse the merchant for the value of the check plus pay up to $750 if he has no back account or $400 if the check is returned for insufficient funds. If the merchant chooses to press criminal charges, the bad check writer may face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year in jail. Writing a bad check is a felony charge if the check was for more than $1,000 and a misdemeanor if written for a lesser amount.
Required Written Notices
If a check bounces, the merchant must send the check writer a letter by certified mail at the check writer's last known address or place of business. Usually this letter is sent to the address on the writer's check. The letter must inform the writer that the check was returned ask him to reimburse the merchant for the amount of the check and inform him of the potential criminal or civil penalties if he fails to do so. If the check writers does not respond to the letter within 15 days of receipt, the merchant must send a second letter. This letter must inform the check writer that he has 30 days to reimburse the merchant before the merchant takes legal action against him. Both letters must be written in both English and Spanish.
