Whether you want relaxed V8 power or speed-level performance, you can compare nearly new Bentaygas in one showroom.

This guide covers each Bentayga in the collection, how the models differ in performance, and the driver-friendly luxury features that make this SUV easy to live with every day.

Why Darien Drivers Choose the Bentley Bentayga

Darien sits on the Connecticut coast, with quick access to I-95, the Merritt Parkway, and Metro-North. Daily life can mean school runs, commutes to Manhattan, and weekends at the shore or in the Berkshires. The Bentayga suits all of it.

It offers the space of a full-size SUV, the quiet of a luxury sedan, and the pace of a sports car. The ride stays composed on rough pavement, and all-wheel drive adds confidence when New England weather turns. Buying low mileage means you get that experience without paying for the first owner’s depreciation.

Bentayga Performance: V8 vs. Speed

Bentayga V8: Effortless Power

The Bentayga V8 uses a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter engine that delivers about 542 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. Peak torque arrives low in the rev range, so the SUV pulls strongly without strain. Bentley has quoted this V8 setup at about 4.4 seconds from 0 to 60 mph, which is quick for a vehicle this large.

The V8 also suits daily driving. It’s smooth at highway speeds and responsive when you need to merge or pass. For many buyers, it delivers all the performance they’ll ever need.

2026 Bentayga Speed: The Fastest Bentayga Yet

The 2026 Bentayga Speed moves to a new level. It uses an uprated 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 641 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Bentley quotes a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph.

That makes it the quickest Bentayga ever built. It’s also more powerful than any previous W12-powered Bentayga Speed. Reports on the 2026 model also describe a sharper SPORT mode and a drift mode, so the speed rewards a driver who wants to engage with the road.

Two examples are available: one with 624 miles and one with 4,756 miles.

2023 Bentayga Speed: The W12 Original

The 2023 Bentayga Speed represents the W12 era. Its twin-turbo W12 engine makes about 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. The W12 Speed reached 60 mph in about 3.9 seconds. For collectors and enthusiasts, it’s a notable chapter in Bentley history, since the newer Speed has replaced that engine.

Driver-Friendly Luxury Features

Speed is only part of the Bentayga story. The SUV is also built to make driving easier and more comfortable.

  • Air suspension: Adjustable ride height and damping help the Bentayga glide over bumps while staying composed in corners.
  • All-wheel drive: Power goes to the wheels with the most grip, which helps in rain, snow, and on winding roads.
  • 8-speed automatic transmission: Shifts are smooth in traffic and quick when you’re driving harder.
  • Drive modes: Switch between comfort-focused and sportier settings to match your mood and the road.
  • Hand-crafted cabin: Leather, wood, and metal finishes create a high-end interior that feels special every time you sit down.
  • Advanced technology: Depending on the build, you may find a premium audio system, a large touchscreen, and driver-assistance features that reduce stress in traffic.
  • Comfort options: Features such as heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic roof, and rear-seat comfort upgrades are available depending on the vehicle.

Options vary by car, so check the specifications of each Bentayga you’re considering.

Standard vs. Extended Wheelbase

Three of the Bentaygas on this list are Extended Wheelbase (EWB) models: the 2026 EWB Azure V8 and two 2024 EWB V8s. The EWB adds length that benefits rear passengers, with roughly seven inches of extra legroom. It’s an excellent choice if you often carry adults in the back or if you want a chauffeur-style experience.

The standard-wheelbase Bentayga remains a strong all-rounder. It’s a little easier to park and maneuver, and it still offers generous space for five.

If a person writes a check without sufficient funds in an associated account to cover it, the check will bounce, or be returned for insufficient funds. Each state has laws regulating how merchants may respond to bounced checks. In Connecticut, the merchant may file a civil suit and press criminal charges if the check writer does not reimburse him for a bounced check after the merchant has sent several notices regarding the matter.

Posted Notice Requirement

Merchants and other business owners who accept checks must post a notice where customers are likely to see it warning them of the potential consequences of writing bad checks. The notice must include the civil penalties that bad check writers may face, the appropriate Connecticut statute number and an advisory that the check writer may also face criminal penalties

Civil and Criminal Penalties

As of 2010, civil courts may require the check writer to reimburse the merchant for the value of the check plus pay up to $750 if he has no back account or $400 if the check is returned for insufficient funds. If the merchant chooses to press criminal charges, the bad check writer may face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year in jail. Writing a bad check is a felony charge if the check was for more than $1,000 and a misdemeanor if written for a lesser amount.

Required Written Notices

If a check bounces, the merchant must send the check writer a letter by certified mail at the check writer's last known address or place of business. Usually this letter is sent to the address on the writer's check. The letter must inform the writer that the check was returned ask him to reimburse the merchant for the amount of the check and inform him of the potential criminal or civil penalties if he fails to do so. If the check writers does not respond to the letter within 15 days of receipt, the merchant must send a second letter. This letter must inform the check writer that he has 30 days to reimburse the merchant before the merchant takes legal action against him. Both letters must be written in both English and Spanish.
