Greenwich, Connecticut’s Trusted Luxury Auto Dealership

In luxury automotive retail, the cars are only half the product. Anyone with capital can stock a showroom with beautiful machinery. What cannot be bought, borrowed, or rushed is trust: the accumulated confidence of a community that has been treated well, transaction after transaction, generation after generation. In Greenwich, that trust has an address. Bentley Greenwich at 275 West Putnam Avenue is part of Miller Motorcars, the family-owned organization that celebrates fifty years in 2026 as Connecticut’s definitive home for the world’s finest marques. This is the story of why the community trusts it, told through the accolades the industry itself has awarded.

Fifty Years, One Family, One Standard

Miller Motorcars was founded in 1976 and has been guided ever since by the Koppelman family, whose stewardship built the operation into Connecticut’s only factory-authorized dealer for Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Maserati, McLaren, Pagani, and Rolls-Royce. Manufacturers at this level do not grant exclusive statewide representation lightly, and they certainly do not renew it for five decades unless a dealer consistently upholds their standards. Nine of the most demanding brands in the world have examined this organization continuously since the Ford administration and kept their names on its buildings. That, before any trophy is mentioned, is the foundational accolade.

Accolades the Industry Awarded

Dealer of the Year, Americas. Twice.

At the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars World Dealer Conference in London, the Global Dealer Awards named Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Greenwich, a division of Miller Motorcars, as Dealer of the Year for the Americas, placing it first among all forty-four dealers in the region. It was the second time the Greenwich team had earned the distinction, having previously been honored as Dealer of the Year for the Americas in 2012. The trophy itself, a bespoke interpretation of the Spirit of Ecstasy conceived by the Rolls-Royce design team at Goodwood, sits as a permanent reminder that the marque’s own leadership judged this organization the best in the hemisphere at representing it. No accolade in this business carries more weight than the manufacturer’s own.

The Best Bugatti Partner in the World, Three Years Running

The recognition continued at the very summit of the industry. At the Bugatti Sales Excellence Programme, the Greenwich operation’s brand manager was named the best performing Bugatti partner in the world, the first in North America ever to receive the honor, after exceeding targets by more than double, and then repeated the achievement for three consecutive years. Bugatti Greenwich also holds standing as one of only two partners in the United States accredited under Bugatti’s Service Partner of Excellence program. When the maker of the world’s most exclusive hypercars measures its entire global network and points to Greenwich, the community’s trust looks less like loyalty and more like good judgment.

A History of Leading Every Marque It Touches

The pattern runs through the organization’s whole history. When Rolls-Royce and Bentley selected their sole authorized Connecticut dealer at the turn of the millennium, they chose Miller Motorcars at a moment when the industry press already described it as the country’s largest Aston Martin dealer and one of the most successful Ferrari dealers in the nation. A quarter century later, Bentley Greenwich remains that exclusive statewide home for the flying B, and the group’s showrooms along West Putnam Avenue remain the standard other specialty dealers measure themselves against.

What Trust Looks Like Day to Day

Trophies decorate a wall. Trust decorates a calendar, and at Bentley Greenwich it shows up in the ordinary rhythms of the business. The organization’s stated philosophy, unchanged since 1976, is that customer satisfaction comes before everything else, and the experience reflects it: guidance instead of pressure, transparent conversations about pricing and trade values, specialists who know the cars deeply enough to give honest advice, and an award-winning commitment to servicing every vehicle sold so the relationship continues long after delivery. The clearest evidence is who walks through the door: children and grandchildren of original clients, buying from the same house their families have trusted for decades. Repeat business across generations is the one review that cannot be faked.

The Bentley Experience at 275 West Putnam

For Bentley shoppers, all of this heritage concentrates into one exceptional showroom. The new Bentley inventory spans the Continental GT and GTC, the Flying Spur, and the Bentayga family, with the marque’s Mulliner personalization program opening bespoke possibilities limited only by imagination, and the team fields inquiries on Bentley’s newest chapter, the electric Torcal, as the brand’s future arrives. Every car is delivered with the preparation, the paperwork precision, and the aftercare that a Bentley deserves, from a staff whose careers are measured in decades with these exact automobiles. It is, simply, the way buying a Bentley in Connecticut is supposed to feel.

A Fixture of the Greenwich Community

Fifty years in one town makes a dealership part of the civic furniture, and this organization embraces the role. From car rallies and charity shows to the events that gather the region’s enthusiasts along West Putnam Avenue, the team invests in the community that built it, and Greenwich has returned the favor with something rarer than sales: a reputation. Ask around town where to buy a serious motorcar, and the answer has not changed since 1976.

If a person writes a check without sufficient funds in an associated account to cover it, the check will bounce, or be returned for insufficient funds. Each state has laws regulating how merchants may respond to bounced checks. In Connecticut, the merchant may file a civil suit and press criminal charges if the check writer does not reimburse him for a bounced check after the merchant has sent several notices regarding the matter.

Posted Notice Requirement

Merchants and other business owners who accept checks must post a notice where customers are likely to see it warning them of the potential consequences of writing bad checks. The notice must include the civil penalties that bad check writers may face, the appropriate Connecticut statute number and an advisory that the check writer may also face criminal penalties

Civil and Criminal Penalties

As of 2010, civil courts may require the check writer to reimburse the merchant for the value of the check plus pay up to $750 if he has no back account or $400 if the check is returned for insufficient funds. If the merchant chooses to press criminal charges, the bad check writer may face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year in jail. Writing a bad check is a felony charge if the check was for more than $1,000 and a misdemeanor if written for a lesser amount.

Required Written Notices

If a check bounces, the merchant must send the check writer a letter by certified mail at the check writer's last known address or place of business. Usually this letter is sent to the address on the writer's check. The letter must inform the writer that the check was returned ask him to reimburse the merchant for the amount of the check and inform him of the potential criminal or civil penalties if he fails to do so. If the check writers does not respond to the letter within 15 days of receipt, the merchant must send a second letter. This letter must inform the check writer that he has 30 days to reimburse the merchant before the merchant takes legal action against him. Both letters must be written in both English and Spanish.
